SECTION 3: CONFIGURED TRANSMITTER INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 BM418-MC INSTALLATION:
1. Place the bed mat under the sheet on the bed in the area of where the users back will lay.
2. Allow the wire and transmitter to hang over the head of the bed so that the user is not lying on either part or does not trip on
the wire when getting out of bed.
3. The transmitter is connected to the Bed Mat and must not be mounted directly to a metallic surface. Doing so will severely
reduce the range of the transmitter.
3.2 BM418-MC OPERATION:
1. When someone is lying on the bed mat it will not transmit. The user can roll around and it will not transmit.
2. The transmitter will activate once the person gets up out of bed and pressure is removed from the mat.
3. Medallion Series Receiver strobe will activate and illuminate the door LED Icon. The Receiver will indicate alert for 16
seconds. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for system to re-alert.
4. Quick reference Document # 109101.
3.3 DB2-MC INSTALLATION:
1. Decide where to mount the transmitter on an inside wall near the location for the button.
2. Drill a hole in the wall behind where the transmitter will mount.
3. Pass the wires from the transmitter through the hole and connect them to the terminals in the button.
4. Install the button on the outside wall covering the hole.
3.4 DB2-MC OPERATION:
1. When the remote button is pressed, the Red LED on the face of the transmitter will light up. The transmitter will then send a
signal to any Silent Call Medallion Series Receiver activating the receiver.
2. Release the Doorbell button and the transmissions will cease.
