2.3 REGLATORY INFORMATION NOTICE:
THIS DEVICE COMPLIES WITH PART 15 OF THE FCC RULES.
This Device Complies With Industry Canada License-Exempt Rss Standard(S).
Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful
interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that
may cause undesired operation of the device. This equipment has been tested and found to comply
with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of FCC Rules. These limits are
designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and if not installed and used
in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this
equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined
by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one
or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and the receiver
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that
to which the receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/television technician for help
Unauthorized changes or modifications could void the user’s authority
to operate the equipment.
2.4 TRANSMITTER FEATURES:
SCXMIT10 transmitters are battery operated and will flash a YELLOW LED when the batteries are in
need of replacement. Transmitter has a test button for programming to receivers and required follow on
operational testing The RED LED will illuminate when the transmitter is actively transmitting signal to
the intended receiver.
2.5 TRANSMITTER SETTINGS:
The Silent Call Medallion Series address system is digitally encoded. All Silent Call Medallion Series
receivers are capable of receiving one million different address codes. Each Medallion Series
Transmitters has a unique code preprogrammed during manufacturing. Please refer to your receiver
manual for instruction on programming the transmitter code to the receiver.
2.6 REPLACEMENT BATTERIES:
Transmitter uses two AA 1.5V Alkaline Batteries. AA Batteries may be purchased from local retail
stores. Transmitter is shipped with 2 Rayovac Alkaline Batteries Type LR6. FA3-MC and FA41-MC
configured transmitter are certified with AA Panasonic LR6WXA batteries only. It is recommended
transmitter batteries be changed once a year and checked weekly.
2.7 TRANSMITTER MOUNTING AND LOCATION:
The Consolidated Transmitter Medallion Series Transmitter is designed for indoor use only. The
transmitter case has provisions for mounting to a nail or screw on the wall or use provided Velcro for
mounting on desktop or wall. Avoid mounting transmitter near large metal objects, other transmitting
devices in close proximity or high current appliances that will degrade the transmitter / receiver operation.
Test transmitter mounting location with receiver before mounting to ensure proper system operation.
Adjust antenna for best results Transmission range with a Silent Call Medallion Series transmitter is about
500 feet.
