Workflow for Creating a DVD with an Authoring Tool
This workflow is recommended when you want to create a DVD with
an interactive menu. It exports your sequence in a format that can be
used by an authoring product such as Sonic Solutions DVDit! to add
interactive menu capabilities.
To use this workflow:
1. Choose an export template in the Settings scroll list that contains
MPEG-2 parameters.
2. Select the sequence in a bin.
3. Choose Create DVD from the File menu.
The Create DVD dialog box appears.
4. Choose Export MPEG-2 and WAV files from the Function menu.
5. Click the Browse button to choose a destination folder in which to
store the generated files.
6. (Option) In the Export Settings dialog box, click Modify to make
any changes to the MPEG-2 export template.
7. Click OK to start the export.
8. Start DVDit! and open the exported MPEG-2 (.m2v) and Wave
(.wav) files in the project.
9. Use DVDit! to burn to a DVD-R Drive.

can export to cleaner in one step by choosing Send to Media Cleaner
from the File menu, which then exports a QuickTime reference movie
and launches the cleaner application.
To use cleaner with your Avid Xpress DV system, install cleaner EZ
from the CD-ROM provided by Avid.
