Recommended Workflow for Creating DVDs with Avid Xpress DV
Avid Xpress DV offers several options for creating your video
sequence on a DVD. The following are recommended workflows for
this process.

One-Step DVD Creation Within Avid Xpress DV
This workflow is recommended when you have DVD writing
hardware connected to your system and you want to write directly to
the DVD. This workflow does not allow you to use a DVD authoring
product such as Sonic Solutions
™
DVDit!
™
. It is a fast technique for
writing a video sequence to a DVD with no menus. The user plays the
DVD by pressing “Play” on the DVD player.
To use this workflow:
1. Choose an export template in the Settings scroll list that contains
MPEG-2 parameters.
2. Select a sequence in a bin.
3. Choose Create DVD from the File menu.
The Create DVD dialog box appears.
4. Choose Create DVD Volume and Write to DVD from the Function
menu.
5. Click the Browse button to choose a destination folder in which to
store the generated files.
6. (Option) In the Export Settings dialog box, click Modify to make
any changes to the MPEG-2 export template.
7. Click OK to start the export.
