INSTALLATION
BEFORE INSTALLING IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Be sure to wear protective eye-wear when drilling.
Replacing drawer knobs is simplest when the new hardware is
the same size as the old hardware. If the new knobs are smaller
than the old knobs, markings on your drawers or cabinets from
the old knobs may show after new knobs are installed.
1. Determine the position of the drawer knob. Use the tape
measure to find the center of the drawer (if you are installing
only one knob on the drawer), or divide your drawer into quarters
or a placement you prefer (if you are installing two knobs on the
drawer). Apply painter's tape to area where you plan to affix the
drawer knob.
2. Mark the exact position of the knob. Measure the exact
placement for the knob and mark it on the painter's tape.
3. Drill screw holes. Using a drill bit the same size as the knob's
screws, drill a hole in the marked location until the drill bit
reaches the inside of the drawer. Remove the painter's tape.
4. Affix the knob. Place the knob screw from inside of the drawer
until it reaches the front of the drawer. Twist the knob on the
screw until it is tightened. Make sure not to over tighten or you
risk stripping the wood.
Before installing, read entire drawer knob
installation instructions. Observe all local
building and safety codes. For the following
installation instructions it is assumed that
any old fixtures have been removed and any
repairs to the door have been completed.
