1 Two-Piece Entrance Set Installation Instructions

INSTRUCTIONS

Unpack and inspect the product for any shipping

damages and ensure that none of the

required pieces are missing. If you ﬁnd damages,

do not install. Contact Customer Service

at 1.866.855.2284. If you need assistance or

have questions while installing your door

handle and lock set, contact Customer Service.

We recommend consulting a professional if you

are unfamiliar with installing hardware

ﬁxtures. Signature Hardware accepts no liability

for any damage to the handle, lock set, or

door, or for personal injury during installation.

Due to the number of pieces that must be

ﬁtted simultaneously, it is recommended that

someone assist you while attaching the

hardware to the door.

TOOLS AND MATERIALS:

Before you begin, read the installation instructions

below. Observe all local building and safety codes.

For the following installation instructions it is

assumed that holes for the handle and lock

set are pre-drilled.

BEFORE INSTALLING

INSTALLATION

1. Tape the handle/deadbolt template in the desired mounting

position on the face of the door.

2. Mark the mounting hole locations.

3. Drill mounting holes in the locations marked in the previous step.

4. Tape the latch bolt template to the edge of the door, lining it up

with the holes drilled in the previous step.

5. Mark the mounting hole locations on the edge of the door.

6. Drill mounting holes in the locations marked in the previous step.

Note: Refer to the template for depth speciﬁcations.

7. Insert the deadbolt latch bolt (A) into the top hole on the edge of

the door. If the faceplate is not ﬂush with the door, carefully chisel

out the door as needed.

8. Repeat the previous step for the handle latch bolt (B). Remove

the latch bolts when complete.

9. Mark the deadbolt face plate (C) mounting hole locations on the

edge of the door.

TWO PIECE ENTRANCE SET INSTALLATION 10. Drill pilot holes in the locations marked in the previous step. D E 11. Reinsert the deadbolt latch bolt and attach the face plate with the provided mounting hardware. 12. Repeat the previous steps for the handle face plate (D) and latch bolt. 13. Push the handle latch bolt in and insert the spindle (E) through the latch bolt mechanism so that the split in the spindle is in the center of the latch bolt.

TWO PIECE ENTRANCE SET INSTALLATION 21. Attach the decorative support screw (O) to the mounting tube at the bottom of the exterior escutcheon. Tighten to secure. L K 22. To install the strike plates (P), mark the end of the latch bolts with lipstick or paint. Close the door, and turn the deadbolt and handle several times to mark the door frame. 23. Use the marks to position the strike plate template. Mark and drill the mounting holes in the door frame according to the depth speciﬁed on the template.
