Parameter description:

State:

It is used for the activation or de-activation of DHCP Option 82. Default is

disable.

Action:

The Action that the switch would like to play in DHCP Option 82. tree

types of action, including Replace , Keep and Drop are offered for option.

Default is Replace.

Trust Group:

It is the Trust Group which signs for DHCP Option 82.

When you enable the DHCP relay agent option 82 on the switch, these events

occur:

. The DHCP server unicasts the reply to the relay agent. The

relay agent makes sure that the packet is destined for it by

checking the option-82 data that inspecting the remote ID and

possibly the circuit ID fields in the packet. And then the

relay agent removes the option-82 field and forwards the

packet to the receive port that connects to the DHCP client,

which sent the DHCP request.

. The Trust Port is used for attaching cables to the DHCP

server.
