2-1-3-1. Cabling Requirements for TP Ports
⇒ For Fast Ethernet TP network connection
The grade of the cable must be Cat. 5 or Cat. 5e with a maximum length of 100 meters.
⇒ Gigabit Ethernet TP network connection
The grade of the cable must be Cat. 5 or Cat. 5e with a maximum length of 100 meters.
Cat. 5e is recommended.
2-1-3-2. Cabling Requirements for 1000SX/LX SFP Module
It is more complex and comprehensive contrast to TP cabling in the fiber media.
Basically, there are two categories of fiber, multi mode (MM) and single mode (SM). The later is
categorized into several classes by the distance it supports. They are SX, LX, LHX, XD, and ZX.
From the viewpoint of connector type, there mainly are LC and BiDi-SC.
Gigabit Fiber with multimode LC SFP module
Gigabit Fiber with singlemode LC SFP module
Gigabit Fiber with BiDi-SC 1310nm SFP module
Gigabit Fiber with BiDi-SC 1550nm SFP module
The following table lists the types of fiber that we support and those else not listed here
are available upon request.
