9.1 Initial Equipment Check List
Before going out to install any sensor, an inventory of the items needed to perform the job is
always a good way to start. Below is a list of the minimum items needed to perform the task of
sensor installation.
Static Pressure Sensor with cable assembly of 50 feet.
Thread sealant
Wrench set
Eye protection
Gloves
Cable labels
9.2 Pre Installation for Static Pressure Sensor
• Perform a visual inspection of the sensor. Make sure that it does not have any physical
damage to the sensor mounting face or cable.
9.3 Static Pressure Mounting Locations
• Review the Unit Under Test and determine correct location for the pressure sensor. This may
require a tee adapter and block valve in the inlet pressure line.
• Review the orientation of the tap and verify that there are no obstacles preventing the sensor
from being installed into the location.
• Review the Unit Under Test and determine an appropriate sensor cable routing path to the
LDAU enclosure.
9.4 Mounting the Static Pressure Sensor
• Apply thread sealant to the pressure sensor threads for preparation into the auxiliary tap.
• Screw the Static Pressure sensor into the block valve housing.
• Open the block valve and ensure there are no fluid leaks around the installation.

It is strongly recommended that safety glasses and gloves be worn during this procedure.

All plant procedures and documents shall be followed to ensure that the installation does not
impact the functionality of the unit under test.
