5.1 Manual safety lock
The manual safety lock works irrespective of
whether the hammer is cocked or at rest. The
function of the decocking lever is not affected by
the position of the manual safety lock. The slide
can also be operated (for loading or ejecting
cartridges).
In DAO mode (hammer at rest) the enabled
manual safety lock means that the hammer can be
fully cocked (manually or by pulling the trigger).
In SA mode (hammer cocked) the enabled manual
safety lock means that the hammer cen be
released by pulling the trigger.
Enabling the manual safety lock:
1. Turn the safety lever 56 down up to the stop to
lock the firing pin. The red dot is not visible.
The pistol cannot be fired in this state.
WARNING!
Uncontrolled discharge of shot
May lead to death or severe injuries
For your own safety and for the safety of
others, always transport the pistol in the
unloaded condition (see Section 6.8),
decocked and under lock.
Never carry the pistol on your person with a
round in the chamber and the hammer
cocked.
Always carry the pistol in such a manner that,
should you fall or otherwise slip, you are able
to control the direction of the muzzle.
Transport the pistol separate from the
ammunition in a locked carrying case.
The pistol and ammunition must not be
accessible to children and other
inexperienced or unauthorised persons.
Ensure that you comply with all regional and
national laws relating to the transport of
firearms.
WARNING!
Uncontrolled discharge of shot
May lead to death or severe injuries
Never rely on safety mechanisms. They are
never a substitute for careful and correct
handling of the pistol.
When the red dot is visible at the manual
safety lock the pistol is ready to fire.
