8.3 Cleaning the pistol
Procedure:
1. Lubricate the cleaning brush with gun oil and
insert it into the barrel 21 via the chamber. Use
brush to carefully remove all powder residues
and dirt in the barrel and chamber.
2. Wipe powder residues and oil from the barrel
bore 21 and chamber with cleaning patches.
3. Clean external surfaces of barrel 21 with a
brush dipped in gun oil.
4. Remove dirt from guides of frame 7, inside and
outside of slide 24, recoil spring guide 22 and
recoil spring 23 with a brush or cleaning patch
and then wipe down with a cloth impregnated
with gun oil or gun grease.
5. Lightly oil bores of barrel and chamber.
Remove any excess lubricant.
8.4 Assembling the pistol
Procedure:
1. Check that there is no foreign matter inside the
pistol.
2. Insert frame into the grip module. Insert the
take down lever (see section “Assembly” on
page 13).
3. Check that there is no foreign matter inside the
pistol and that the serial numbers of the slide
and the frame tally.
4. Insert barrel 21 into the slide 24 (see Fig. 18).
CAUTION!
Pistol may be damaged
Never clean barrel 21 from the muzzle end
and do not use a steel wire brush as it can
destroy the smooth surface of the barrel. Use
a suitable cleaning rod and a brush of
matching calibre (see section “Technical
data/types/accessories” on page 24).
Solvents can be harmful to the surface finish
of the pistol. Read the manufacturer's
indications and warnings before using
solvents or cleansers.
