8 Pistol maintenance
8.1 Stripping the pistol
1. Unload the pistol (see section “Unloading the
pistol” on page 10).
2. Draw back slide 24 to the stop and arrest it in
the open position by thumbing up the slide
catch lever 8 (see Fig. 11).
3. Check that no round is chambered (see Fig. 4
on page 11).
4. Thumb down take down lever 5 (see Fig. 12).
5. Draw back slide 24 slightly to disengage the
slide catch lever 8; then manually push slide
forward (see Fig. 13).
6. Now slip the complete assembly (slide 24,
barrel 21, recoil spring 23 and recoil spring
guide 22) forward and off the frame.
7. Remove take down lever 5 and frame 7 from
the grip module 1 (see section “Disassembly”
on page 13).
WARNING!
Pistol is ready to fire
May lead to death or severe injuries
The magazine must be removed from the
pistol.
Before stripping your pistol for cleaning,
ensure once again that it is unloaded (see
section “Unloading the pistol” on page 10).
Do not grasp slide 24 with your fingers.
