1.0 SAFETY RULES WARNING 1.0 Safety Rules Before using your new SIG SAUER CO2 Airgun,you must take the time to read and understand the following safety rules: • Treat every airgun as if it were loaded • Always point the CO2 Airgun in a safe direction. Never point your CO2 Airgun at people or animals even if it is not loaded. • Always keep your fingers away from the trigger until you are ready to shoot. • Always be certain of what is behind your target.

3.0 HOW TO OPERATE SAFETY WARNING BE SURE PISTOL IS ALWAYS POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION. NEVER POINT THE PISTOL AT ANYONE. ALWAYS ASSUME AND TREAT THE PISTOL AS IF IT WERE LOADED AND READY TO FIRE. ACTIVATE SAFETY – SAFETY IS ON WHEN RED DOT IS NOT SHOWING The M17 has an Ambi-Safety Lever. Push the lever up with your thumb to place the airgun in the SAFETY ON (No Red Dot Showing)condition.
4.0 REMOVING MAGAZINE/CO2 HOUSING Press magazine release button and pull down on magazine indicated above to remove the magazine/ CO2 housing. CAUTION IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO USE THE CO2 CYLINDER FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME, REMOVE THE CO2 CYLINDER. 6 M17 Operators Manual for Translation.
5.0 INSTALLING/ REMOVING CO2 CYLINDER WARNING KEEP FACE AWAY FROM THE CO2 CYLINDER WHEN REPLACING THE CO2 CYLINDER. WEAR GLOVES. ESCAPING CO2 GAS CAN CAUSE FROSTBITE IF IT COMES IN CONTACT WITH SKIN. WHEN REPLACING THE CO2 CYLINDER, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOME RESIDUAL GAS IS LEFT IN THE CYLINDER. IN ORDER TO AVOID ACCIDENTS, MAKE SURE THAT THE PISTOL IS UNLOADED AND THE SAFETY IS “ACTIVATED” WHEN REMOVING OR PLACING A CO2 CYLINDER. KEEP THE CO2 CYLINDER AWAY FROM HEAT AND FLAMES.
6.0 HOW TO LOAD MAGAZINE PUSH BUTTON TO RELEASE MAGAZINE MAGAZINE RELEASES UP /OUT OF HOUSING PINCH IN ON SIDES OF MAGAZINE AND FLIP OPEN COVER FILL BELT WITH .177 CAL PELLETS NOSE FIRST WARNING FOR USE WITH .177 CAL PELLETS OR 4.5MM BB’s. USE OF ANY OTHER AMMUNITION MAY RESULT IN INJURY TO YOU, OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRGUN. DO NOT REUSE AMMUNITION. 7.0 AIMING/FIRING AT A SAFE TARGET To be a consistent marksman, use the correct sight picture each time you fire the pistol.
WARNING BE AWARE OF INTENDED TARGET, BACKSTOP AND SURROUNDING AREA. USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN SELECTING A SAFE TARGET. IMPROPER TARGETS MAY CAUSE RICOCHET OF PROJECTILES. ALWAYS WEAR PROPER EYE PROTECTION. 8.0 UNLOADING AMMUNITION FROM MAGAZINE 1. ACTIVATE SAFETY - NO RED DOT SHOWING. 2. Remove Magazine by pressing magazine release button. 3. Open magazine door. 4. Rotate belt to visually inspect for any ammunition still loaded. 5.Use a .
9.0 REMOVED JAMMED AMMUNITION-CONTINUED Press barrel release button to remove barrel. The recoil spring guide rod assembly will now be free to remove. With .177 rod or similar size object, push jammed pellets through barrel and out the muzzle end. REASSEMBLE in reverse order by inserting recoil spring guide rod then barrel. Slip slide over muzzle of barrel.
10.0 TROUBLESHOOTING-PELLET DOES NOT FIRE WARNING IF A PELLET DOES NOT FIRE WHEN EXPECTED, DO NOT ASSUME THE AIRGUN IS UNLOADED. CONTINUE TO KEEP THE AIRGUN POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO TROUBLESHOOT THE CAUSE. Make the following checks if pellet does not fire. 1. Was the safety deactivated (OFF) -RED DOT SHOWING, when the trigger was pulled? If not, point airgun in a safe direction, deactivate safety, and attempt to fire again. 2. Did the magazine contain .
11.0 SAFE USE AND HANDLING OF CO2 CYLINDERS It is possible that certain conditions may affect a CO2 cylinder, which can impact its proper performance. These conditions include the usage, maintenance and storage at temperatures that are higher or lower than (59°F/15°C to 90°F/21°C). Rapid firing of the CO2 airgun can affect the performance of the CO2 cylinder as well. High temperatures can increase pressure in the CO2 cylinder and also within the airgun, leading to higher than standard operating pressure.
12.0 REPAIRS AND RETURNS-U.S. Domestic Only For International Service please contact your local dealer/ distributor. A CO2 air gun that is not functioning properly can be dangerous. Do not attempt to repair the gun yourself, as this may cause abnormalities in its functioning. If a pellet has become blocked in the barrel, use the appropriate caliber cleaning rod (.177/4.5mm, .22/5.5mm) to tap jammed projectile out of the barrel. If the projectile cannot be removed, take no further action.
13.0 STORAGE • Before storing the CO2 airgun, make sure the safety is “ACTIVATED”, the magazine is unloaded, and the CO2 cylinder is removed. • CO2 airguns should be stored in such a manner as to protect against unauthorized use by children and others. • These products are designed to look, handle and function like firearms. These products should be stored in such a manner to protect against theft and subsequent misuse. 14.0 ROUTINE GENERAL MAINTENANCE • Always visually inspect Airgun before use.
