4: Care and Maintenance of Your

USB Modem

Aswithanyelectronicdevice,themodemmustbehandled

withcaretoensurereliableoperation.Followtheseguidelines

whenyouuseandstoreyourmodem:

• DonotapplyadhesivelabelstotheSIMcard.Thismay

causeittojaminsidetheslot,orpreventitfrombeing

inserted

properly.

• Whennotinstalledinyourcomputer,storethemodem

andSIMcardinasafeplace.

• USB‐connectedmodemsshouldfiteasilyintoyour

computer’sUSBport.Forcingthemodemintotheport

maydamagetheconnectorpins.

• Protectthemodemfromliquids,dust,andexcessiveheat.
