Connecting to an AirLink Modem with AceManager

Using Ethernet
IfyourmodemisconnectedtothesameLocalAreaNetwork
(LAN)asyourcomputer,suchasinanofficewithmany
computersandotherdevicesconnectedtogetherbyhubsand/
orswitches,youcanusethisoptiontoconnecttothemodem.
Whenyouselectthisoption,AceManagerwillattempt
tofind
themodembyscanningtheLANsoyoudon’tneedtoknow
theIPofthemodem.Enterthepasswordafterthemodemis
“discovered”.
Caution: You can only use Ethernet to connect to a Raven X,
PinPoint X, Raven-E, or PinPoint-E which is connected directly to your
computer with an Ethernet cable (you may need a cross-over cable) if
your computer has a static IP and is on the same subnet as the
modem.
Note: If the modem is not connected directly to your computer but
connected to a hub, switch, or router to which your computer is
connected as well, AceManager may be blocked by the hub, switch,
or router from scanning the physical part of the network where the
modem is connected.
