Window controls
• TheMinimizebuttonclosestheWatcherwindowbutleaves
theapplicationrunning.WhenWatcherisminimized,the
Watchericoninthesystemtraycanbeusedtodetermine
theAirCardstatus.(Seepage 49.)Thisiconreplacesa
taskbarbuttonforWatcher.
Onceminimized,youcanredisplaytheWatcherwindow
byselectingthe
Watchericoninthesystemtray.Youcan
alsorestorethewindowbydouble‐clickingthedesktop
shortcutorlaunchingWatcherfromtheStartmenu.
• The
Toggle Full/Compactbuttonisusedtoswitch
betweenthefullWatcherwindowand thecompactview:
Thecompactviewallowsyoutoseeconnectionstatusand
indicatorswhileusinglessspaceonthedesktop.
Tomakecalls,dataconnections,disconnect,oraccess
Watcherfeatures,youmustusefullview.Toreturntofull
view, selecttheviewtogglebuttoninthetopright.
• The
ClosebuttonisusedtoexitWatcher(orhidethescreen
onPocket PCs).
Docking
YoucansettheWatcherwindowto“jump”totheedgeofyour
screenwhenyoumovethewindowclosetoanedge.Thislets
youeasilypositionWatcherinacornerofthescreen.
• Select
VIEW > Docking
Always On Top
YoucansetWatchertoalwaysdisplayinfrontofother
windows.Thisallowsyoutomonitorconnectionstatuswhile
usinganothermaximizedapplication,suchasyourweb
browser.
• Select
VIEW > Always On Top
