SIM-Racar-Lambda - Tactical
Bulletproof Surveillance Robot
Tactical robotic system designed to help first responders make informed decisions
from a safe distance.
The SIM Racar system with its UGV of model Lambda has enough space to carry
electronic reconnaissance equipment and can be used as platform for weapons or
other tactical equipment.
SIM RACAR-Lambda can be equipped with up to 2 internal cameras as well as
multiple external cameras providing fullmotion video, which is transmitted by a
digital COFDM – system (SIM MILAN-Lite) from the robot to the handheld
Operator Control Unit (OCU).
The OCU’s simple joystick operation gives the operator complete control over the
vehicle movement.
In addition, bi-directional data communication allows the operator to remotely view
sensor information from the payload.
All of these features, coupled with a wide range of payloads and accessories,
converts this versatile vehicle into a mission specific tool.
1. Unlimited all-terrain capability, for outdoor or indoor operations
2. Fast and highly maneuverable
3. Robust chassis, proof against mechanical tampering
4. Ballistic and blast protection
5. Long operation range and mission time
6. Easy to operate, easy to maintain
7. Provides enough space to carry electronic reconnaissance equipment
8. Can serve as platform for weapons or other tactical equipment.
9. Easy to use
ROBOTIC UNDERWATER
SYSTEMS!
Prometeo - Robotic Underwater
System
Rotating camera
Reliable, light ROV construction with powerful thrusters allows
operation in currents up to a depth of 1200 feet
Thin, Kevlar reinforced coaxial cable with little current drag
for the transmission of all signals including power supply, neutrally
buoyanced
Mushroom shape and a low center of gravity
for perfect video images due to unique navigational stability
Open frame construction
allows a quick exchange of components for different operations
Custom designed
for the best adaptation to the needs of every customer
Performance
Four speeds for the horizontal propulsion, four for the vertical with ten
possible combinations of thrust between the motors offer the operator
manoeuverability beyond comparison with an intuitive approach to
simple and functional controls placed on a fiberglass enclosure. Safe
and well insulated, it allows to be used with wet hands.
The main purpose of a R.O.V. is to provide impeccable images in the
ever changing environmental conditions. The images are the only
comparison that allows for a sense of perception and space in the
environment where the operator interacts with the vehicle. The electronic
structure of Prometeo fulfills this purpose; in fact, it mounts, positioned in
the fulcrum of the horizontal thrust , a high quality video camera with
grand angular lens that provides for a field view of 80 degrees allowing
for a good peripheral vision , even in murky waters. Two 50 watt halogen
spotlights with a field of 60 degrees can handle perfectly the view taken
by a camera with a better sensibility of 0.5 lux. A fair compromise
between the power of the spotlights and the sensibility of the camera
prevent the `fog effect' caused by the suspended particles directly in
front of the lens, typical of systems of higher illuminating power.
