Mini-robot Colby for Bomb-squads
The Colby VideoGrenade is 3" (7,62 cm) in diameter and 18.5" (47 cm) long with a
5" (12,7 cm) wheel at each end. It weighs 8.5 lbs (3.85 Kg.)
It has a built-in video camera with an IR illuminator.
It also has a microphone to pick up and transmit sounds It transmits audio and
video on 2.4 GHz back to a pocket sized monitor with a 3" LCD screen that is
mounted on a hand held controller that enables the unit to be spun 360 degrees or
driven to another position or the next room.
The heavy weights in the center of the wheels provide good mass to be able to
throw the unit through a window, breaking the glass.
The unit the falls to the floor and self rights itself, sending back audio and video of
what is going on in the room where the possible bad guys are.
