roadblocks, check points and border crossings. It has the ability to identify the
presence of substance within vehicles, lorries, and all other methods of substance
transportation including aircraft. The requirement for random selection is removed.
The system can be used for ship to ship search without boarding and will detect
substances strapped to the hull or towed behind. The equipment is not affected by
on board communications, radar or sonar. IN addition the unit can be used to
screen inshore and coastal areas. The system can be used for searching wide
open country such as mountains and desert or areas of dense vegetation.
Pipelines, electricity pylons and transport routes can be screened from either a
helicopter or aircraft.
The system is the most advanced detector in the world, offering a safe working
distance from the search area, therefore providing some protection against remote
controlled devices. Suspect vehicles and packages can be checked very quickly
without risk of detonation. Substances cannot be hidden from detection in
traditional disguises such as oil, petrol, metal containers, fish, coffee or other such
hides. The system will detect buried substances, so can be used to detect
randomly laid mines, extents of mine fields, sea mines and mined roads or
bridges.
