Acoustic Isolation:
The system provides the ultimate solution wherever cellular communications
cause nuisance, either through loud ringing or loud conversations. S-Guard is the
most suitable for executive offices, board rooms, conference centres, corporate
headquarters, libraries, cinemas, religious places, concert halls, exclusive
restaurants, educational institutions, etc.
Breach of security policy:
Cellular phones are innocent looking communication devices, but they enable
continuous transmission of voice/data even in places, where such communication
is prohibited. Mobile phones are so small that it's almost impossible to track a
person conducting a conversation and spot such misuse.
Accidental Eavesdropping:
Many cellular phones dial the last number by simply hitting the SND key. In many
instances, people press the SND key by mistake and thereby initiate a call
unintentionally. Such incidents may lead to transmission of confidential information
over the air.
Intentional Eavesdropping:
Cellular phones continuously communicate with cellular base stations over the
signalling control channels. Various cellular protocols enable a skilled technician
to remotely activate a specific cellular phone as a bugging device and listen to

Ever increasing prevalence of cellular phones today causes less desired ethical
and technical situations in places where use of mobile phones is not desirable.
But is there a feasible way to regulate the use of portable phones? In many cases
relying only upon the cooperation of mobile-phone users does not prove to be too
satisfactory and sometimes it is even necessary to prevent the very possibility of
unauthorised mobile communication in the respective place. Perfect devices for
such purposes are the "Silence" cellular phone detectors.
These new innovative detectors have been developed to guide cellular phone use
e.g. in conference rooms, aeroplanes, hospitals, computer rooms and theatres.
The surface-mounted, miniaturised construction provides variety of applications,
ranging from a fixed wallmounted to a portable device. Optional directed antenna
is available for limiting the monitored area.
The Silence GSM detector family provides wide variety of alarm signalling: remote
or built-in LED indicator and sound alarm, pre-recorded warning message, electric
contact for centralised security systems and miniature vibrator, as well. A unique,
combined analogue and digital filtering method is used for achieving a high level
sensitivity with minimal false alarm rate. Adjustable sensitivity helps with fine
regulation of the monitored area. The "Silence" GSM-phone detector reacts to the
cellular phone's transmission to contact the base station during initialising or
receiving calls and regular updating of service data as long as the phone power is
switched on. From reduced distance the detector is able to alarm the talks started
out of the monitored area.
