Managing audiovisual files and their associated media
Hypercast Warehouse references all types of objects, files, and physical media
(audio, video, and still images).
• Identify all copies of a given video or image, whatever the version, format, or
location.
• Automatically convert source files into various formats for viewing and
distribution.
• Transfer the various copies to centralized storage locations.
Managing associated data
You can describe collections of images, videos, and images in a catalog.
U-Share is a network management system for content contribution or occasional
broadcasts, automating the exchange of video and audio data from a source site
to one or several destination sites. Designed for broadcasters and/or Telecom
operators, U-Share is a software package designed in a modular fashion. U-
Share uses the latest transmission technologies: the computer transport network
IP (in asynchronous mode: FTP) and/or video (DVB Digital Video Broadcast in
synchronous mode). The user-friendly interface of the U-Share system
workstations ensures fast and efficient handling by users.
Acquisition
The U-Share video acquisition module automatically digitizes all types of feeds.
U-Share remote- controls the various channel equipments (coder, decoder, VTR,
server, grid, time code generator, and so on).
• Automatic scheduled or immediate feed acquisition.
• Digitization from VTR, an SDI source or ASI source.
• Video server control.
• Integrated simple video editing tool (Clean Cutter).
Scheduling
U-Share’s exchange scheduling module allows the scheduling (Booker) of each
exchange from a site to one or more receiving sites (source site, destination sites,
start date/time, duration, and so on).
Café is a fully automated software solution for managing the entire video
acquisition chain, from triggering recording via image recognition or according to a
predefined program schedule, to file encoding and transmission to remote servers
(Internet,Archives, intranet, etc.)
Image recognition and scheduling
Café features a scheduling module used prior to the acquisition process.
Technicians define the settings for each recording session, such as the station
name, date, time, etc. so they can schedule recordings several weeks ahead.
They can also choose to trigger recordings via key image recognition. In this
case, the technician saves an image and digitizing will start when that image (or
part of it) is detected in the video stream, in real time. Likewise, recording can be
stopped when another image is detected, such as a fixed image, a logo, etc.
• Scheduling over several weeks
• Detection of from 1 to 5 key images to start and stop recording
• Partial detection within an image
• Detection delay: 1 image (or 40 ms at 25 images/second)
• Digitizing delay: 400 ms
• Remote control
Video Capture
Café automatically handles all recording requests in order to enable 24/7 video
capture. It controls external video capture tools and digitizes features. The
program accepts a wide range of video sources (analog and SDI).
• Automatic generation of audio and video files by feature
• Video capture in AVI format (with or without compression)
• 24/7 operation
• Capture of broadcast streams or analog cassettes
• Management of changes in the program schedule
IP recorder and IP Player
• IP Recorder and IP Player are the same soft which can be use in two functions
• IP Recorder :
– Extract video from IP Stream on a network
– IP feed can be Unicast or Multicast
• IP Player :
– Play video over an IP network
– IP feed can be Unicast or Multicast
Quality
• Never alter the file (ex: after 12 cycles, the video file is exactly the same
than the original)
Cost effective
• No need video grid
• No need video pure server
• No need hardware decoder
• Simple workstation
