TMP FACE RECOGNITION
Face recognition technology is the least intrusive and fastest biometric
technology. It works with the most obvious individual identifier the human face.
Instead of requiring people to place their hand on a reader or precisely position
their eye in front of a scanner, face recognition systems unobtrusively take
pictures of people‘s faces as they enter a defined area.
There is no intrusion or delay, and in most cases the subjects are entirely
unaware of the process. They do not feel „under surveillance“ or that their privacy
has been invaded.
Technology
The technology is based on neural computing and combines the advantages of
elastic and neural networks.
Neural computing provides technical information processing methods that are
similar to the way information is processed in biological systems, such as the
human brain. They share some key strengths, like robustness, errorresilience and
the ability to learn from examples.
Elastic networks can compare facial landmarks even if images are not identical,
as is practically always the case in real-world situations. Neural networks can
learn to recognize similarities through pattern recognition.

IRTA, is a intelligent video surveillance software that (i) records multiple video
streams and allows remote live viewing, (ii) performs intelligent real-time analysis
of incoming data, (iii) automatically takes action as required, and (iv) provides
advanced video retrieval and management capabilities.
Video Recording and Remote Live Viewing
IRTA 2005 offers advanced video recording capabilities in both analog and
IP/network camera environments. With the ability to record multiple video streams
at rates of up to 30 frames per second, IRTA scales from one to thousands of
cameras in increments of a single camera. Frame rates and storage capacity can
be increased “on the fly” by simply adding additional COTS equipment to an
existing infrastructure. Other video recording and viewing features include
simultaneous viewing of live and recorded events, multicamera view capabilities
(see Figure 1), integrated and automated pan-tilt zoom (PTZ) camera control,
remote viewing, “oneclick” access to multiple site maps and cameras, among
others. IRTA is also Multilanguage capable.
Intelligent Real-Time Analysis
Through its use of computer vision technology, IRTA performs intelligent real-time
analysis on incoming video data. When events occur, IRTA will track a moving
object, classify the object(s) of interest, interpret what the object is doing and
determine if the event has breached a customer-defined policy. IRTA outperforms
video motion detection (“VMD”) technology, which is known to report an inordinate
amount of false alarms caused by snow, rain, wind, shadows, light changes, and
