Installing the Software
Note: Your AirCard
ExpressCard modem package
may include an ExpressCard to
PC Card adapter. Use this
adapter if your notebook does
not have an ExpressCard slot.
Note: If you are running
Mac OS X, please refer to the
Watcher Quick Start Guide for
the Mac OS X 10.4.x found at
www.sierrawireless.com/mac
With the ExpressCard to PC Card adapter
1. Insert the ExpressCard to PC Card adapter into the
PC Card slot.

2. With the label facing up, insert the AirCard ExpressCard
modem into the adapter.

3. To remove the AirCard ExpressCard modem, refer to
“Stopping and ejecting the AirCard modem” on page 41.
4. TRU-Install
Note: Skip this section if your AirCard modem comes with an instal-
lation CD.
TRU-Install is a Sierra Wireless feature that installs the
necessary software the first time you insert the AirCard
modem into your computer. An installation CD is not
required.
