Color Touch Panel UP 588/23
Description
The Color Touch Panel UP 588 is a multi-functional
display/control device for a KNX system. It features a
320 × 240 pixels TFT color display with touch screen
and a color depth of 263 K (R, G, B 6-bit).
Pressure-sensitive areas on the touch screen permit
operation with long and short button presses, similar to
a wall switch.
Basic system configurations and the LED background
lighting level can be set through the user interface
without the use of ETS (Engineering Tool Software).
Once the application program is loaded, the Color
Touch Panel UP 588 can display and control up to 110
communication objects on at least 20 display pages.
Up to 50 additional status objects can be displayed on
10 display pages.
Both basic functions, such as switching, dimming,
controlling shutters, and setting values, as well as
complex functions, such as scene control and heating
and ventilation control, can be used.
Features
• Time programs with weekly schedules, a presence
simulation feature, scenes, and logic functions can
be configured by the end user after installation and
commissioning, without the need for ETS.
• The trend module stores status values and can
display the data graphically for various time
periods.
• Up to 16 active alarms can be displayed and
acknowledged on an alarm page, or the alarm
conditions may be used for 16 event tasks.
The panel has an internal real time clock and can
function as the master timer in a KNX system. It can
also receive the time and date from any other master
timer on the KNX system.
One of four different design templates can be selected
for the operator interface.
A frame and flush-mounting box are required for the
Color Touch Panel UP 588 and must be purchased
separately:

• At least 32 AND/OR logic functions can be
produced, each comprising up to four
communication objects.
