The nbtstat command is fully described below.
Static mappings from names.cfg are stored together with registered and cached
name in a name table within the kernel. The number of names that can be stored in
this name table is limited by the tuneable parameter NBMAXNAMES. When
adjusting this parameter, keep in mind that two or three entries are required for each
name with default extensions.
5.1.3.3 Commands used for administering name resolution
The nbtstat command is used to display diagnostic information about NetBIOS name
resolution. nbtstat is especially useful for troubleshooting NetBIOS name resolution
problems.
Syntax:
nbtstat { -a | -q } RemoteName [ -e Extension ]
nbtstat -A IP address
nbtstat [-c] [-n] [-r] [-w]
