Protection against transients
for M-bus devices
Introduction
Devices must be protected against lightning if connected to bus wiring that extends outside the building. Lightning
protection is also recommended inside the building, especially in the absence of exterior lightning protection. Use the
surge protection components listed below for M-bus.
Components
Every bus cable and the devices to be protected demand protective elements matched to the relevant requirements.
For this reason, only the tested components listed below may be used.
