• Strip the cable and connect it.
Note: Do not connect the shielding braid on the meter
side.
Note: You will find the permitted combinations in the
respective technical description.
Note: The meter recognizes the inserted modules
independently 30 seconds at most after installation
and is ready to the communicate and pulse output.
4. LCD-Display
Note: Both display range and data displayed can
differ from the description depending on the appliance
parameterization. Certain button functions can also be
blocked.

5. Parameterization
5.1 Adjustable parameters directly on the meter
The parameters, as
• M-bus primary address
• M-bus secondary address
can be parameterized directly on the meter.
Note: Detailed information for the parameterization
directly on the meter can be found in the installation
instructions of the meter.
5.2 Adjustable parameters via service software
The parameters, as
• M-bus primary address
• M-bus secondary address
• M-bus read-out mode
• M-bus data output format
• M-bus data telegram
• M-bus identification for medium type
• M-bus user lock
can be parameterized by service software UltraAssist.
Note: Detailed information for the parameterization
with the service software can be found in the UltraAs-
sist user manual.
6. Parameter setting of the pulse function
(only for WZU-MI module)
Module is delivered ex works in following storage mode:
1. Module is powered with voltage by a battery.
2. Following parameters have the value 0:
• Device number
• Meter reading
• Pulse value and
• Decimal place
3. Pulse inputs are inactive.
Note: Until the module receives parameter setting
data, the pulse inputs remain inactive.
6.1 Activating pulse inputs
Die Parameter,
• Device number
• Meter reading
• Pulse value
• Decimal place
• Indification of the medium type
must be parameterized by service software UltraAssist.
Note: Detailed information for the parameterization
with the service software can be found in the UltraAs-
sist user manual.
If the pulse inputs are parameterized, the module works as
follows:
• The pulses at the pulse inputs are counted.
• Every 5 minutes, a register advance in steps of 1 m³ or
0.1 m³ (depending on the decimal place) is calculated from
the counter pulses and the pulse value.
• The pulse meter reading is updated.
• The pulse meter reading is transmitted to the meter and
stored there.
6.2 Deactivating pulse inputs
The parameter,
• Device number
• Meter reading
