2 System integration
2.1 System configuration
The SITRANS TW transmitter, 4-wire mounting rail device can be used in a number
of system configurations as a stand-alone version or as part of a complex system
landscape such as SIMATIC S7.
The whole range of functions of the device is available by means of HART
communication.
Communication via the HART interface can take place optionally with:
• HART-Communicator
• HART modem with following PC/laptop on which suitable software such as
SIMATIC PDM is available
• a HART-capable control system (such as SIMATIC S7 with ET200M)
