Phase D green cannot be monitored using a standard UTC 'G' bit
because it will stay at green when the phase appears in successive
stages. It must monitored using a voltage sensor. Other phases in
the stage with phase D may still be monitored (i.e. Phase F) using
'G' bits, providing that they meet the normal requirements. Note that
voltage sense transformers are normally assigned sequentially
starting at digital input 31 and working back through 30 etc.
Phases G and H greens cannot be monitored using a standard
UTC 'G' bit because they will not necessarily be at green in their
respective stages. They must be monitored using a voltage sensor.
Green confirm bits may be used to report greens for phases A, B,
C, E and F providing that leaving phase delays, or intergreens
causing staggered phase introduction, are not used. If it is probable
that phase delays and/or intergreens are going to be subject to on
site changes in this way, it may be worth considering using voltage
monitoring transformers on any phases likely to be changed.
The configuration commands are detailed below.
Enable LMU write access:
AMB = 35
NEC = 249
Allocate function of current sensor 1 to 9:
KPT 1 to 6 = 1 :vehicle phases A to F
KPT 7 = 1 :Green arrow phase is declared as a vehicle phase
KPT 8 = 3 :a pedestrian phase
KPT 9 = 5 :40 Watt wait indicators
Allocate the mains state inputs associated with each current sensor:
Note: Input numbers 1 to 32 on the buffered input connector are referenced as 0
to 31 on the handset commands.
KMS 0 1 = 31 :sensor 1 green (phase D) is on digital input 32.
KMS 0 2 = 30 :sensor 2 green (phase G) is on digital input 31.
KMS 0 3 = 29 :sensor 3 green (phase H) is on digital input 30.
KMS 0 4 = 28 :sensor 4 green (phase H Wait) is on digital input 29.
KMS 0 4 = 0 :UTC 'G1' bit green (phase A, B) is on digital input 1.
KMS 0 5 = 1 :UTC 'G2' bit green (phase F) is on digital input 2.
KMS 0 6 = 2 :UTC 'G'3 bit green (phase C) is on digital input 3.
KMS 0 7 = 3 :UTC 'G'4 bit green (phase E) is on digital input 4.
KMS 1 8 = 31 :A vehicle green which conflicts with phase H is chosen.
It is recommended that the most heavily trafficked phase
passing through the pedestrian crossing point be chosen.
