Information on protection class and degree of protection
Protection class
The modular TS Adapter conforms to protection class III in accordance with EN 61140:2002
(VDE 0140-1).
Protection against foreign bodies and water
The TS Adapter IE Basic fulfills the protection type IP20 according to IEC 60529.
The TS Adapter IE Basic is protected against contact with standard probes.
The TS Adapter IE Basic is not protected against water incursion.

Safety requirements
● The TS Adapter IE Basic complies with the requirements and criteria of the IEC 61131-2
standard.
● The Ethernet interface meets the requirements of the IEEE 802.3.

below. They are compliant with the harmonized European Standards (EN) for programmable
logic controllers as published in the official gazettes of the European Community:
