8.8 Error diagnostics - Ethernet
8.8.1 You do not know the IP address of the TS Adapter IE.
Remedy
Follow the procedure described in the section "Set IP parameters by direct connection with
TeleService", steps 1 through 7.

8.8.2 The TS Adapter IE is not accessible via Ethernet
Remedy
1. If the Link LED is not lit, first check the Ethernet cabling.
If the Link LED is lit, move on to step 2.
2. Proceed as described in the following chapters:
– "Set IP parameters by direct connection with TeleService"
– "Set IP parameters by direct connection with the SIMATIC Manager"
3. If you are still unable to access the TS Adapter IE via Ethernet, reset the configuration of
the TS Adapter IE using the P RES button.
NOTICE
If you reset the configuration of the TS Adapter IE, all the parameter settings you made
will be lost.
Repeat step 2.
If the TS Adapter IE is still not accessible via Ethernet, there is a hardware error. Inform
Customer Support in this case.
