8.7 Internet access via the TS Adapter IE is not possible
Diagnostics
An outgoing modem connection is active, but access to the Internet is not possible.
In the "Information > Status" tab of the configuration interface, you can check if an outgoing
connection is active.
Remedy
1. Check the BUSF LED on the TS Adapter IE. If it is lit, there is no connection to another
device over Ethernet. You can see the status of the Ethernet connection in the
"Information > Status" tab of the configuration interface.
2. Check the firewall setting.
– First disable the firewall in the "Security > Outgoing Calls > General" tab for test
purposes.
NOTICE
When the firewall is disabled, your automation system is vulnerable to attack over the
remote connection!
Test Internet access.
– Then enable the firewall in the "Security > Outgoing Calls > General" tab.
In the same tab, enable "IP Masquerading (NAPT)".
In the same tab, allow Internet Protocols as exceptions.
In the "Security > Outgoing Calls > Internet Protocols" tab, allow "HTTP (Hyper Text
Transfer Protocol)".
Test Internet access again.
3. Check the IP address of the TS Adapter IE.
The address must be in the same subnet as the address of your PG/PC port, and must
not be used by any other component in the network.
