7.7 Establishing a Remote Connection to the TS Adapter IE

You have two options for making a remote connection to the TS Adapter IE:

● Establishing a remote connection to the TS Adapter IE via TeleService

● Establishing a remote connection to the TS Adapter IE via a dial-up connection

In the factory state and after a parameter reset, the TS Adapter IE is set so that the PPP

connection from the PC to the TS Adapter IE uses the following IP addresses:

Client IP address

(IP address on PC)

Server IP address

(IP address on TS Adapter IE)

Internal modem 192.168.0.2 192.168.0.1

External modem 192.168.0.3 192.168.0.1

Note

Before making a remote connection, make sure there are no address conflicts with devices

accessible from your PC.

If you are unable to establish a remote connection, refer to the "Error Diagnostics" chapter.

The following diagram shows an example of the assignment of IP addresses in a networked

system:
