To check the functioning of the LEDs, switch the operating voltage of the TS Adapter II off
and back on. All LEDs are switched on when power is restored. After a few seconds, the
LEDs are set according to the current operating state.
Simple malfunctions that you can diagnose and correct in some cases are explained below.
Error/cause Remedy
SF and BUSF LEDs are lit
• The assigned network parameters of the TS Adapter II are
incorrect.
• MPI cable is not inserted
• Automation system is switched off
• Use TeleService to check and modify the network
parameter assignment of the TS Adapter II.
• Insert MPI cable
• Switch on the automation system
SF LED lit, BUSF LED not lit
• The TS Adapter II cannot communicate with the modem.
• The modem replies with an error message
• Check the cabling to the modem and switch on the
modem, if necessary
• Use TeleService to check and modify the modem
parameter assignment of the TS Adapter II.
DC3V LED not lit
• MPI cable is not inserted
• Automation system is switched off.
• The external power supply is not connected or is switched
off
• Hardware error has occurred
• Insert MPI cable
• Switch on the automation system
• Connect or switch on external power supply
• Inform Customer Support
USB LED not lit
• The USB cable is not inserted
• The PC and the USB interface of the TS Adapter II is in
hibernate mode.
• TS Adapter II is not detected by the PC.
• Insert the USB cable
• Impermissible operating mode
• Check and install the software, if necessary
No LED lit
• MPI cable is not inserted
• The 24 V supply is not available when using the MPI/DP
socket.
• Automation system is switched off.
• The external power supply is not connected or is switched
off
• Hardware fault has occurred.
• Insert MPI cable
• Check the cabling
• Switch on the automation system
• Connect or switch on external power supply
• Inform Customer Support
All LEDs flashing continuously
• Hardware fault has occurred. • If all the LEDs on the device continue to flash after
reinsertion of the MPI cable or the external voltage
supply, the device is defective and must be replaced.
