5.2 Inserting a memory card

Introduction

The following can be saved to the memory card of the HMI device:

● Backup of the HMI device

● Logs

● Recipes

● Operating system

● Applications

● Other data such as video files, Word, Excel or PDF files

The memory card can be inserted during operation.

Note

The multimedia card of the SIMATIC S7 PLC cannot be used.

Procedure

Proceed as follows:

1. Insert the memory card into the relevant slot.

When inserting the memory card, please note that it can only be inserted in the slot when

the front side of the memory card is visible.

2. Check that the memory card is properly seated.
