A.1 Guidelines and declarations
Notes on CE marking
The following applies to the SIMATIC product described in this documentation:
EMC directive
The devices fulfill the requirements for the EC directive "2004/108/EEC Electromagnetic
Compatibility" and are designed for the following applications as per the CE marking:

The device is also compliant with EN 61000-3-2:2006 (harmonic currents) and
EN 61000-3-3:1995 +A1:2001 +A2:2005 (voltage fluctuation and flicker) standards.
Low-voltage directive
The devices with AC and DC power supply are compliant with the requirements of the EC
Directive 2006/95/EEC "Low-Voltage Directive." Conformance with this directive has been
verified according to EN 60950-1: 2006.
Declaration of conformity
The EC declaration of conformity and the corresponding documentation are made available
to authorities in accordance with the EC directives stated above. Your sales representative
can provide these on request.
Note the installation guidelines
The installation guidelines and safety instructions given in this documentation have to be
noted during commissioning and operation.
Connecting peripherals
Noise immunity requirements to EN 61000-6-2 are met if connected peripherals are suitable
for industrial applications. Peripheral devices are only be connected via shielded cables.
