2.4 AS-i Master for SIMATIC S5 PLCs in the Lower

CP 2433 (Standard AS-i Master)
The CP 2433 is available as a master module (AS-i standard master) for
programmable controllers of the S5-90U, S5-95U, S5-100U series and the ET
200U distributed I/O system.
The AS-i master is used like an I/O module in the PLC to address the input and
output data of the AS-i slaves. In the address area of the PLC, it occupies 16 input
bytes and 16 output bytes. When programming the PLC, the user does not see
any difference between an AS-i master and standard I/O modules. The software
only needs a minimum of adaptation.
If a function block is used, the complete range of functions according to the AS-i
master specification is available. This function block is available for the SIMATIC
S5-95U and S5-100U / CPU 103 and is supplied on diskette with the manual for
the CP 2433.
The CP 2433 occupies a double slot on the bus bar.
