2.1 AS-i Masters for the SIMATIC S7-200
CP 242-2 (Standard AS-i Master)
The CP 242-2 module allows the connection of an AS-i chain to the S7-200
programmable logic controller. The CP 242-2 provides the complete functionality of
the AS-i master specification for standard AS-i masters (profile M1).

CP 243-2 (Extended AS-i Master)
The CP 243-2 module allows connection of an AS-i chain to the new S7-200 series
(CPU 222, CPU 224, etc.). The CP 243-2 is an extended master complying with
profile M1e; in other words, it covers the complete functionality of the AS-i master
specification for extended AS-i masters.
