Building automation and control tasks are solved with the aid of both block libraries.
The user receives a package of specially designed building automation and control
software blocks for all aspects of building automation and control. In addition to
universally employable functions such as binary processing, analog processing, control
and signal processing, this includes complex technical building functions such as
scheduling, twin pump control, heating curve. The standard block SICLIMAT library
includes optimization functions such as heating time optimization, heat volume
calculation, enthalpy calculation, summer night ventilation.
The SIMATAC software Step 7 is available for loading, testing and commissioning
automation stations. It loads the software to the automation station, allows for system
diagnostics, parameterizes communications, and parameterizes and tests I/O modules.
Furthermore, any SIMATIC automation station can be engineered sector neutral.
LINUX is the operating system for the SICLIMAT engineering tool. An Oracle database
is used to archive and administer data.
Windows XP Professional is used as the operating system for the SIMATIC STEP 7
software package as well as any other PC applications. VMware allows the SICLIMAT
engineering tool to operate in its own pane under Windows, making it possible to switch
between the two operating systems with a simple click of the mouse.
Hardware
The X-PG uses the Fujitsu Siemens notebook as the basic hardware for professional
use from the current delivery program. A light-weight, portable
programming device is used and employed online and offline for all SIMATIC S7-
automation systems.
It distinguishes itself through:

Also supplied:
• USB floppy disk drive for system backups as well as
to install drivers, key diskettes, among others.
• USB adapter to SIMATIC S7 to load and test SIMATIC automation stations.
• USB dongle as copy protection for the SICLIMAT tools.
• Data carrier to install the software package and operating systems.
