Function
• Receives the time frequency standard transmitted by radio clock
• Adopts the standard time on the computer
• Performs automatic daylight saving time changes (from standard to summer time
and vice versa)
• The radio clock uses the caesium clock reference standard at the national institute of
metrology in Brunswick, Germany (error 1 second in 1 million years)
Prerequisites
• Operation must be via one of the serial ports of the X-OS
• Requires radio clock module with software package
• Computers must be located within a 1500 km radius of Frankfurt/Main, Germany
(approx. 950 miles)
