Ethernet printer port

The SICLIMAT Ethernet printer port is used wherever printers, e.g. report or
protocol printers are operated on the local network using a parallel interface and
USB (referred to as the terminal bus for SICLIMAT).
Application
Ethernet printer ports are an easy and inexpensive way to modularly expand the
number of available system interfaces for printers.
Function
The printer port provides the network protocol TCP/IP (10/100BaseT) on the Ethernet
side. The printer port is equipped with a parallel interface and USB to connect the
printer.
The following interface combinations are provided:
• 2x parallel, 1x USB
It support LAN transmission of 10 Mbit/s and 100 Mbit/s.
The SICLIMAT X user interface is used to parameterize the Ethernet printer port and
assign printers to available interfaces.
Printer faults are recognized immediately via the bidirectional interfaces and can be
displayed in status overviews.
