5 Total Building Solution (TBS)

As a result of the interlinking of technical building infrastructure systems like heat-

ing, ventilation, climate control, access control, video supervision and fire alarms

with IT-and other technical system, every building can offer a maximum in comfort,

excellent security and maximum energy efficiency. The system which lends “intelli-

gence” to your building by clever interlinking is our so-called integrated systems

(Totally Building Solutions).

5.1 Reduced complexity with total integration

Total Building Solution integrates all systems. e.g. fire detection, alarming, evacua-

tion, extinguishing, access control, CCTV, intrusion, ventilation, heating, air condi-

tioning, and lighting. Trough standard interfaces can be integrated other systems

like lifts, laboratory systems or validation, monitoring systems.

TBS can be a part of the IT infrastructure of your facility, with local or remote ac-

cess.

The integrated solution approach optimizes maintenance scheduling. Various pa-

rameters can be examined together and necessary service measures can be

scheduled at the same time. In addition, comprehensive performance indicators

provide information on necessary maintenance jobs well in advance and reduce

unscheduled plant downtimes.

5.2 Long-time security with standards and certificates

Siemens TBS is the warrant for the full functionality during the live cycle of all sys-

tems. It assures that the backward and forward compatibility is guaranteed when

SW update are installed. Siemens is using strictly the proven standard interfaces

like BACnet, LON, OPC, M-Bus and the systematic certification of the integrated

interfaces in the TBS
