system is a one-of-the-kind innovation introduced by Siemens.
The CDT cylinder valve designed and patented by Siemens, allows a constant and
controlled pressure discharge of the inert gas. The constant pressure limited to 60
bar ensures that the gas is discharged at a constant rate during the entire flow
time, eliminating pressure peaks in the room at the beginning of the extinguishing
process and minimizing potential damage to assets.

(Constant Discharge Technology) is ideally suited when placing
the required overpressure opening poses high complexity. This is generally the
case in historic buildings. It offers a sensible reduction in over-pressure and turbu-
lences compared to non-regulated systems. These are meaningful aspects when
protecting sensitive assets like archives in heritage buildings.
Controlled gas discharge allows a reduction of overpressure flaps up to 70%, and
manifolds and piping can be designed on a lower pressure category.

offers the following advantages:
reduced turbulence makes the system highly reliable for sensitive areas
controlled gas discharge, regardless of systems size
all the components downstream of the valve (including collector and sector
valves) are designed for a working pressure of 100 Bars, in stead of 300 Bars in
non regulated technology
smaller pipes size help reduce installation costs
the size of the overpressure flaps can be reduced by roughly 2/3rd compared to
traditional systems
the use of Nitrogen is environmentally friendly and safe for people
no mix of gases, this results in faster, easier and cheaper refilling
no residue and no need for cleaning up after a discharge
