Auto Bypass (without

NOTES:
1. All safety conditions must be met for bypass mode operation.
2. The input contactor remains energized.
3. The Electronic Bypass Option will return to VFD mode operation as soon as
the BT300 Relay (RO2) opens.
4. When the Electronic Bypass Option returns to VFD mode operation, the
following occurs:
a. The BT300 Relay opens.
b. The Programmable Output on the SED2 Electronic Bypass Controller
board opens.
c. The bypass contactor opens.
d. The output contactor closes.
e. All safety conditions must be met for VFD mode operation.
Settings
DIP Switch
The Auto Bypass feature requires that the SED2 Electronic Bypass Controller board
DIP Switch 2 is set ON.
NOTE: During operation, the Auto Bypass Enabled indicator is on steady.

Keypad
For proper Auto Bypass operation, set the following BT300 parameters from the
keypad:
Navigate:
Main Menu > Parameters (M3) > I/O Config (3.5) > Digital Outputs (3.5.3) > Slot B
Basic (3.5.3.2) > RO1 Function (3.5.3.2.1) > Edit > and then select Fault.
NET Tool
From the Siemens NET Tool:
Change RO 1 Function to be Fault.
