The next step is to set WEP encryption on the Gigaset WLAN Repeater:
ì In the Security menu, select WEP.
ì Set the WEP operating state to On.
ì Select the desired WEP key length: 64 bit or 128 bit.
ì If you want to generate the WEP key automatically, select the check box next to
Passphrase and enter a passphrase of 1- 32 characters. Then click on Generate key.
Four hexadecimal keys are generated from the passphrase and entered in the corre-
sponding fields.
ì If you want to assign the key manually, make sure that the check box next to Pass-
phrase is not selected. Then enter one or more keys.
– For a 64-bit key: 10 hexadecimal numbers; e.g. 33 7C 61 65 6D.
– For a 128-bit key: 26 hexadecimal numbers; e.g. 22 67 64 87 67 63 84 B6 0F CD
28 E2 FD.
ì From the Default key list, select which of the four keys is to be used as the default
key. If you have assigned the key yourself, select the number of the field in which
you entered the key.
