RXB room controllers from Siemens
ensure demand-related individual room
comfort in public buildings, office
buildings, schools or hotels. Thanks to
economical individual room control,
the comfort level can be controlled in
accordance with personal needs. The
RXB room controllers can be integrated
into existing or new systems from
Siemens, such as DESIGO™ or Synco™,
or third-party systems. These advanced
products are compatible far into the
future.

open KNX communication
Using standardized
KNX communica-
tion, the RXB room
controllers can be
straightforwardly integrated into a num-
ber of building automation and control
systems. In connection with other types
of plant, such as lighting or blind control,
they offer a high level of flexibility thanks
to integrated room control.
■ Efficient individual room control for
DESIGO or Synco building automa-
tion and control systems
The RXB room controllers can be inte-
grated into building automation and con-
trol systems, such as DESIGO or Synco.
Central functions like time programs,
collection of heating/cooling demand,
alarm reporting, trending, central con-
trol of setpoints, etc., are provided by
selected devices – by PX-KNX in the case
of DESIGO and by RMB795 in the case of
Synco. Integrated into these advanced
systems are long-term economy and a
high level of flexibility, which also give
consideration to future plant extensions.
Energy consumption is minimized by
making use of local functions, such as
presence-dependent setpoints, or window
contacts for monitoring the windows.
■ Complete range of room
operating units
For direct operation and monitoring
setpoints plus actual values in individual
rooms, an extensive range of room op-
erating units are available. They reach
from simple room temperature sensors to
versatile room units featuring fan control
and display. Wireless units round off the
offering. Also available are operating
units for mounting on recessed con -
duit boxes in connection with standard
switches from various suppliers.
■ Straightforward and time-saving
mounting, planning and commis-
sioning
Plug-in type screw terminals are provided
for all electrical connections. They sim-
plify not only installation, but also service
work. When using the KNX/EIB software
tool ETS3 Professional, planning and
commissioning the RXB room controllers
is child’s play. Apart from the ETS3 tool,
commissioning and parameterization can
also be performed with the ACS Synco
tool and the QAX34.3 room unit from
Siemens.
■ Energy savings of up to 14%
Intelligent algorithms in the RXB control-
lers together with the room operating
units warrant very accurate room tem-
perature control, thus ensuring enhanced
comfort.
The eu.bac certificate delivers
proof of the excellent control
performance provided by the
RXB controllers (e.g. CA value
for fan coils = 0.1 K). Hence, energy
savings of up to 14% can be achieved.
