1 Overview
1.1 RMZ792 bus operator unit
The RMZ792 bus operator unit is a communicating operator unit allowing you to
operate devices from the Synco™ range in a KNX network. The operator unit can
be used both for fixed installation and mobile use (e.g. service). Third-party devices
cannot be operated using the RMZ792 bus operator unit.
The RMZ792 operator unit allows for central access to Synco 700 control units and
central communication units as well as RX.. room controllers and RD.. room
thermostats via the KNX bus.
Menu-assisted operation using clear text provides for user-friendly and easy access
at all levels for users as well as engineering and service staff.
The RMZ792 bus operator unit used identical operating elements and the typical
Synco™ operating philosophy such as RMZ790 and RMZ791 operator units for
local operation, thus without KNX communication.
• Operation of up to 150 devices.
• Supported devices:
− RM.. control units. (Synco 700 range)
− RXB2.. and RXL2.. room controllers.
− RDG.., RDF.., RDU341 room thermostats.
− QAW740 room unit.
− OZW771, OZW775 central communication units.
• Automatic device search within line/area.
• Access allowed at both user and service levels.
• Display and acknowledge faults from all devices (bus devices).
• Freely definable passwords for all access levels.
• 20 customizable Favorites pages.
• Supply from KNX bus or external AC 24 V.
• Fixed installation (front, wall mounting), and mobile use as hand-held device.

devices, functional scope, and type of use and site.
