The fault source determines the type of acknowledgement for a fault status message
(e.g. Synco 700 universal controller RM..). 3 types of acknowledgement are available,
each dependent on the fault to be acknowledged:
Acknowledgement type Description
None The fault must be neither be acknowledged and nor reset.
The fault status message disappears automatically as
soon as the cause of the fault is removed.
Acknowledge The fault continues to be displayed (even after the cause
of the fault is removed) until acknowledged, i.e. until taken
note of.
Acknowledge and reset The fault must first be acknowledged and reset only after
removing the cause of the fault.
10.1.1 Device list in the "Main menu"
A symbol to the right indicates the devices' fault status. The symbols mean the
following:
Fault indication
symbol
Description
Device ok, no fault present.
Device fault.
Fault status information retrieved from device.
Possible device failure, fault status information cannot be
retrieved, or is not sent periodically.
After starting the bus operator unit, it may take up to 3 minutes until the fault status
information from the devices is updated, depending on the size of the device list.

Main menu > Faults > Faults current
Max. 20 pending faults are summarized in this menu.
The faults are sorted by fault priority.
The order of fault status messages in Synco 700 control unit fault lists may deviate
from that of the bus operator unit based on priority information.
