6.3.6 "Add devices" submenu
Supplement the device list by an individual device.
Supplement the device list by devices from another area.
Supplement the device list by devices from another line.
Update the device list.

The network is searched for operable devices as per the set parameters. The devices
found are added to an existing device list. Devices already in the device list are not
duplicated.
The settings for Area Line and Device address restrict the search for operable bus devices
to the desired portion of the network or an individual device. This also reduces the
search time.
Setting
* for line means that all lines of the desired area are searched for devices.
Setting
* for the device address means that a search for all devices within the line is
carried out.
Operating line Start add on starts the function. The number of devices found is displayed
by the value Number of devices current.
The same notes as described in Section 6.3.1 apply.

Assign clear and self-explanatory names to the devices.

You can assign a freely selectable name to the devices in the device list. When
creating the device list and adding devices, the local device name is transferred to
the device list if available.
The name of the selected device can be overwritten. The name change only applies
to the device list in the bus operator unit. The local name remains valid in the device.
A device name can have max. 20 characters.
The device name is displayed in the bus operator unit:
As a main menu title for the bus device.
For orientation purposes if button INFO is pressed while
navigating a device's menu tree.
On the Menu and Info pages for fault display.
