Level Symbol Description
Service level
The service level allows for accessing other advanced
menus and data points of the bus operating device. The
service level can be protected using a password against
unauthorized access. No password is set when delivered.
The service level of the bus operator unit allows for
accessing the service level of the bus device, e.g. the
parameter settings of the control devices, or information
on plant maintenance.
Password level
The password level offers additional menus and data
points to configure and commission the bus operator unit.
The password level can be protected using a password
against unauthorized access. The password is set to "7"
when delivered.
Access to the password level of bus devices is not
possible from this level. The setting is local only.
All operation is menu-based; only the Info level does not use menus. The menus and
operating lines are enabled according to access levels. A higher access level also
shows the menus and operating lines for the lower access levels. The password level
contains the entire menu. A corresponding symbol at the top left shows the active level.
Go to the Info level:
1. Press the ESC button repeatedly until the start page is displayed.
2. Press the INFO button or the press-and-turn button to go to the Info level.
3. For navigation within Info pages, repeatedly press the INFO button or the OK
press-and-turn button.
Go to the user level:
1. Press the ESC button repeatedly until the start page is again displayed.
2. Press the press-and-turn button "OK":
3. If the user level is password-protected, the Access levels menu is displayed.
4. Turn the OK button to select the User level and confirm by pressing the button.
5. Enter the password for the corresponding access level.
6. Press the OK button to confirm the password.
Go to the service or password level:
1. Press the ESC button repeatedly until the start page is again displayed.
2. Press both the OK and ESC button simultaneously. The Access levels menu is
displayed.
3. Select the desired access level by turning the OK button and press to confirm.
4. Enter the password for the corresponding access level.
5. Press the OK button to confirm the password.
The device automatically returns to the start page and the user level if no action occurs
within 30 minutes.
